Here is the secret: Most shields follow the hood back and then flip up, this shield has all the flip in the roll on the front of the shield and then follows the exact contour of the vehicle. If you compare to a standard shield that flips up, those shields have a flip of 1 1/2 inches off hood. This shield sits exactly 1 1/4 inches off the hood.
